- God takes us down dark paths, because God is light
- Burning Bush,
- Who are you?
- When land-fills over flow
- And our oceans die
- We are at our own ruin
- Where are you God?
- Why do you not intervene when nations slaughter nations
- And the innocent suffer
- Suffer beyond our imagination
- Where are you?
- We do not listen
- We over speak to you
- Babbling on
- We over flow with our own ideas
- Babbling on and on to you, O God
- Instead of emptying
- And seeking to be filled by you, God
- our wants and
- petty needs occupy our minds
- If we stood before the bush
- Would we stand in awe
- Would we fall prostrate
- Would we explain our status attempting to justify our lives
- Would we weep for our lacking
- Would we weep for the slothful destruction of our humanity
- Would we be different
- We simply do not look for the enflamed speaking bush
- For God is present and calling
- In Peace and Justice and
- Love and Hope
- After The dark night of the soul , Light comes
- And the burning bush does not consume
- But Spurs us into active silence
- Emptying of self
- And prostrate filling
- Of wisdom
- Come lord Jesus, come
- In your presence, we are forever changed
- Re-member your people
- Come Lord Jesus, Come

Angels
And no wonder; for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. 2nd Cor 11:14
Are there Angels in our midst?
Angels from the realms of glory
Angels we have heard on high
We have?
Have I?
are they “watchin” over me?
the day
That mingles between
Sunshine and overcast
Are these moments of metaphors for God’s Angels of Light and the cloud of evil that exists in our world?
Pushed and pondering
I see
With the eyes of my heart
Angels of Mercy
Keeping me at this present moment
Angels of Grace
Smudging my faults
Angels of Hope
Inspiring new creative ideas
Keeping me from despair, that,
All is not lost for our planet
With the eyes of my mind
I see the angel of greed
Luring me to think of myself first
Temping me with shiny packages
Of slothful wastefulness
Looking in
Looking out
I see the warring Angels of Light and Dark
I plead
God …. Help
Help
And
The transcended peace
Emerges
Unexpectedly
And I know
God’s Angels
Watch over
Even me
grace
God’s promise to Jacob (gen 28:15) , I am with you and will keep you where ever
you go bringing you back to this land …. I will not leave you…

Tumbles in my mind
God says
Meet Grace
She comes freely
You see her
If you chose to look
She enables as you
weep with those who mourn
Give to those in need
Cry out for the voiceless
God says
Meet Grace
She surprises
With moments
Of wonder
At all we take for granted
Swelling the heart
With gratitude
Because of Grace
We can kneel
And
Confess our sinfulness
While be flooded with
Love
God is Love
And Love
Gives us Grace
Freely
So
Chose to look for Her
You have already met
Reach out
Reach in
She is longing to sit with you
So pause this day
Be with Grace
And be flooded with
Love and
Gratitude
For the simple, the mundane, and the extra ordinary!
love
Eve knew
Putting myself at the center
In God’s creation
Means a death
Honouring
All life
From the creepy-crawly to the majestic wind that causes trees to tremble
Humbles me
There I offer
The praises that
Create the very throne of God
Where Grace freely flows
Weaving herself
In and out of every moment
Pausing
Bowing
In humility
See God
In the center of this garden
Then
Love
Can be

Vigil for murdered missing indigenous women
I weep this day for Candy Little Light.
she was tragically
brutally
found beaten and murdered in her Calgary apartment on Monday.
please join me in praying for her family (no known suspect) especially Danni.
this saturday is the annual ceremony for missing and murdered indigenous women. please join in . if you can not attend stand in silence,
holding each of their breaths within you, then in solidarity and collectively let us cry out. NO MORE. NO MORE. NO MORE.
Listen
Turn into the wind
And hear the voices
Crying out from the earth
We are many
Our lament
Cries out
Collectively
From our scattered burial grounds Un- marked
Un-named
Un-known
Fear and violence arrested our breath And began our restless roaming Wailing for recognition
Each voice
Each name
Speak now from across the veil
We are infusing our song
Into you
Carry us within
And let not your voice be silent
Least it happen again
And again
ash wednesday
O what God can do with dust
Spoken into the dark void
The atoms obey
And Light was
And water
And bacteria
And plants
Life
O what God can do with dust
This same dust
Marks my brow
And God says
Let there be
Light
Let there be
Water
Let there be
Life
O what God can do with dust
Breathe your words
Into my dust
Stirring me out of complacency
Into life giving
Light
May all hear in the darkness
God’s voice
Calling out
Let there be
Life
O what God can do with dust
Be marked this day
Listen
For God speaks
And the atoms obey
