Ashes

 

What if

I gave in blind gratitude and

prayed in humble quiet?

 

What if

I fasted from selfishness and

gathered Godly treasures?

 

What if

I walked with Grace, in grace and

accepted Jesus’ sacrifice?

 

What if

I held on to the extended salvation and

endured life’s struggles with my eye on genuine Love ?

 

What if

I knew the power of the Almighty and

practiced holiness of Spirit ?

then

I might discover the depth of the Kingdom of the Living God

and                            In my nothingness experience everything!

God Dances

 

God dances and sings to the poetry of prayer

when ashes cleanse the soul

and hearts turn

to wipe the stains

of humanity’s failings

of her suffering children

who struggle to heal to be whole

could wash clean the need for anyone to recover from their childhood
